Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who unite to take action and create lasting change — locally and around the world.

We focus on community service projects that improve lives in our local area and beyond — including food giveaways, youth scholarships, senior wellness support, and partnerships with local organizations like the Artesia Library and Strongtowns Artesia.

Anyone with a heart for service and a commitment to making their community and the world a better place is welcome to join. We welcome people of all backgrounds, professions, and beliefs.

We typically meet every 3rd Tuesday of the month, 6pm @ Garlic and Chives in Artesia, Ca. Guests are always welcome — just let us know you’re coming!

It starts with a conversation. Join us for a meeting or a community event, get to know our members, and if it feels like the right fit, we’ll walk you through a simple membership process.

Dues are $200 every 6 months. These dues support local and international service projects, Rotary International programs, and basic club operations. They do not include meals — members cover their own meal costs if attending in-person meetings at restaurants or venues.

Not at all! While Rotary started with professionals, today’s members come from all walks of life — including retirees, educators, public servants, entrepreneurs, and community volunteers.

We host food distributions, fund scholarships for local youth, support literacy programs, volunteer with seniors, and participate in global efforts like ending polio and promoting clean water access.

Yes! Many of our events are open to the public, and we love when community members come out and get involved. It’s a great way to experience Rotary in action.

To make a difference, grow as a leader, connect with your community, and be part of something bigger than yourself. Plus, it’s fun — and deeply rewarding.
